Apple Heart institute was established in June 2004, with the commencement of its Cardiac Centre. The new venture was appropriately named Expanding the horizons of Cardiac Care with futuristic technology & expertise.
Apple Heart Institute is the first private sector Cath Lab & CVTS Centre in South Maharashtra.Cardiac Cathlab is supported with a Team of trained&experienced Interventional Cardiologists in association with highly experienced cathlab technicians in convergence with State of the art DIGITAL FLAT PANEL CATHLAB Majority of the leading Cardiologists form Kolhapur and the vicinity are using this ultramodern technology for cardiac intervention . The team of cardiologists and Paramedical staff have got wide experience in management of all routine and complex procedures.
The DIGITAL FLAT PANEL CATHLAB is replacing the conventional Image Intensifier Technology which has been in use in for many years.

The department of Cardiovascular & thoracic surgery began its operations in AUG 2004, with one Resident Cardiac Surgeon, one Cardiac Anesthetist, one Perfusionist, the O.T. Nursing staff & the ITU staff. Three highly eminent cardiac surgeons from Pune ,Belgaum,& Mumbai come regularly to perform different kinds of surgeries here.

The ultra modern operation theatre equipped with Anti-fungal & antistatic flooring and walls. Laminar flow of the operation theatre keeps 100% fresh air with the help of 10 tons A.C to minimise the infection rate.
Dedicated resident cardiac surgeon & cardiac anaesthetist & a team of dedicated resident doctors & well trained O.T staff are available round the clock & they are supported by technically advanced equipments such as Philips monitor, valley lab Cautery, Medtronic,S ACT machine- ACTII , most advanced Siemens Servo S ventilators, Maquet Ventilator, Welch Allyn's Head light.

INTENSIVE THORACIC UNIT

The intensive therapy unit is equipped with PHILIPS MutiPara monitors & SIEMENS SERVO S and Maquet ventilators patient warming system from - BAIr HUGGER, Blood Gas Analyzer –Roche- OMNI C, JMS Syringe pump.
The ITU is supported with fully trained medical and paramedical staff round the clock with dedicated resident doctors. A visiting team of highly experienced cardiac surgeon and anaesthesists are also available.
A team of 3 Physicians, 17 Medical Officers & well trained technicians & nursing staff available round the clock.
