The Nephrology department is looked after by a highly skilled full time Nephrologist & trained technical staff. Advanced dialysis machines and a separate area for patients on maintenance dialysis is available. Bed side dialysis facility is available to patients who are admitted in ICUs. The advanced Reverse Osmosis Plant is installed which ensure best water for dialysis.
20 advanced dialysis units (Fresenius Kabi) are available in Nephrology department. Advanced Reverse Osmosis plant is available for quality water required for dialysis.
Nephrology team consists of a full time Nephrologist & trained paramedical staff. As the entire team is available round the clock, patients requiring emergency dialysis are immediately attended and even bed side dialysis facility is also provided to the patients in ICU.
Nephrology departments deals with the management of acute renal failure, chronic kidney diseases, glomerular diseases, hypertension ( primary &secondary), End stage renal disease, diabetic nephropathy, urinary tract infection, electrolyte & acid base disturbances, care for renal transplant patients, paediatric kidney diseases.
Procedures available in nephrology department are, haemodialysis ( acute & maintenance), peritoneal dialysis, CVVHD,CAVHD,SLEDD, plasmapheresis , renal biopsies, haemoperfusion ( treatment for poisoning), dialysis catheter placements( Temporary & permanent catheter insertion)
Advanced Renal Transplant facility is also available at our Centre.
